North Cyprus Turkish Community Centre of Victoria

Established in 1956 as the Cyprus Turkish Association, the North Cyprus Turkish Community Centre of Victoria is the oldest Turkish association in Victoria.

 

The association operates from a 350 seater venue at 547 Ballarat Road, Sunshine and consists of four entities - a trustee committee, an operational committee, an elderly citizens group and a youth club.

Activities at the community centre

Every Monday between 11am - 2pm is an 'elderly citizens day' with activities, tea/coffee facilities and a monthly free lunch.

 

Celebrations are also held that coincide with the Turkish Cypriot national and Islamic religous days several times a year. Celebrations held at the association include -

- 20 July Peace & Freedom Celebrations
- 15 November Republic Day
- Eid Celebrations (Ramazan & Kurban)

 

Venue hire

The community centre is available for hire. The 350 seater venue can cater for all function types and includes kitchen facilities. Contact us to organise an inspection of the venue.
